The Ducks suited up seven players (and a team man ager) and lost 99-68 to the fourth ranked Wildcats. Clyde Jordan. "The three are currently on one-game suspensions." Oregon coach Jerry Green said. "Their status will be determined before our next basketball game." The Ducks next ploy Saturday against Oregon State at McArthur Court. Arizona probably could have beaten Oregon by 70 points, but head coach Lute Olson used the game as a chance to give his younger players a chance to play "It was obvious today that we had tixj much talent." Olson said. "It was great to get a chance to have extended time for the fresh men.” Oregon had a few brief minutes of excitement when Orlando Williams hit three three-pointers in four minutes to cut Arizona's lead to 1612. but the Wildcats took over the game from there, outscoring the Ducks 40-15 the rest of the half to take a 56-27 lend by halftime, Green applauded Olson forgiv ing his team a break. Oregon's win. coupled with Washing ton State's loss, put the Ducks and Cougars in a tie for ninth place in the Pacif ic-10 Conference. Oregon (0-15, 3-12) led 31 29 at halftime Iwfore going on an 11-2 run at the start of the second half.
