makes its yearly move indoors to the
Lane County Fairgrounds for its
annual Holiday Market, twelve
days of outstanding entertainment,
a world famous international IihhI
court, and thousands of affordable,
locally made handcrafted gifts
This year market goers will find
local growers selling mid winter
produce and dried (lowers in an ex
panded f armers' Market area Three
last minute shopping day s have been
added to this year's schedule on
Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday,
December 21,22 and 2 Ird. Special
(terlormances lor young people, gilt
wrapping by volunteers from
Womenspace, a massage area tor
weary shoppers, and a food For
lame County collection center are

that await Holiday Market visitors
Founded in ll>7() by local artist
Lotte Strcisinger. Saturday Market
is currently the oldest continuously
operating open-air craft marketplace
in the United States Several years
ago. after more than a decade of
shivering in the cold, wet w inters on
the downtown Park Blocks. Market
crafters moved inside to the l ane
County Fairgrounds on Thanksgiv
ing w eekend and the event has grow n
in popularity every year since.
Saturday Market is a non profit
organization. Its goal is to provide
an affordable market place for local
artisans and affordable handcralted
products for the citizens of Lane
County.
