I felt pretty good putting but I didn't make many I played better than I did early in the year and made better shots." Snavnly's finish put him in 10th place, his high est finish ever in n collegiate tournament. Oregon senior Jeff Lyons struggled in Corvallis, shooting a 74 and 73 on Monday before finishing with a 78 on Tuesday Lyons was under-par with two holes remaining during the se< - ond round, but bognyed the 17th and IRth holes to finish at 1-over-par. Lyons struggled throughout the day on Tues day. culminating with a dou ble-bogey on the lHth hole when he had to take a penalty stroke because his hall had an unfavorable lie. Oregon freshman Chris Benscl had a rough time in Cor vallis, shooting an 18-over-pur 234, including a 78 in the final round. Junior Randy McCrack en competed in the tournament as an individual and shot a 75 in each of the first two rounds before encountering putting troubles on Tuesday and fin ishing with a 79.
