helped."
As for the future. Harris has
several options.
"Naturally, 1 hope to play pro
football, but I'm also taking inter
views just like other soon-to-be
graduates.” Harris said. "If foot
ball doesn’t work out. I still hope
to work out. and I’ll try to get on
Nike International’s track team
"I'm hoping a team will keep
me because I'm able to play
receiver and return kicks," Har
ris said. "Quite a few players my
size have made it, so it's possi
ble."
Although playing two sports
can be time consuming, Harris,
a finance major, said his grades
haven't suffered.
"Playing the sports has actual
ly helped, because I've been
forced to become disciplined,"
Harris said. "I'rti always so busy,
that I've had to learn to manage
my time."
As for the upcoming Washing
ton game. Harris said it may be a
blessing in disguise that the
Ducks lost to USC last weekend.
“After seeing the result we had
against the Trojans, Washington
will be thinking we're not that
good," Harris said. "They won't
bo taking us very seriously, and
we’ll surprise them."
Harris seems to realize he is
the envy of many an armchair
quarterback and that he is fortu
nate to be living what others
only dream about.
"I've always been a sort of
'underdog', so if I represent an
'underdog' succeeding, that’s
great." Harris said. "I've just
been very fortunate and God has
really blessed me.”
