From its history as a church and mortu
ary to the little treasures that now play
on its screens, there's nothing conven
tional about Eugene's Bijou Theatre. And
there's nothing like it anywhere else in town.
While local multiplexes were serving up
threequels and assorted mind candy to the
mall crowd this summer, the Bijou was the
only place in the area to see instant classics
like Howards End and Raise The Red Lantern.
