The Ducks, 10-4 overall and
0-2 in the Paclfic-10 Confer
ence, fell from 18th to 19th in
both the Tachikani/AVCA Vol
leyball Poll and Volleyball
Monthly poll. Losses to second -
ranked UCLA and tenth-ranked
USC at McArthur Court guvo

of the Pac-10 season.

says the opposite. Tachikara
gives the fifth spot to Hawaii,
and Volleyball Monthly lists
Louisiana Stale as fifth
Washington is the only other
Pac-10 team in either poll,
ranked 20th by Tachikara.
Oregon also makes an ap
pearance in Tuesday's NCAA
Division 1 Men's Cross Country
poll. The Ducks are ranked
fourth in the poll after taking
third at the Emerald City Invita
tional in Seattle last weekend.
Ranked ahead of Oregon is
Arkansas in first, Iowa State in
second, and Texas in third. No
tre Dame holds the fifth spot in
the poll.
Arkansas earned 425 voting
points for the top, and Oregon
grubbed 361.
Other Pac-10 schools making
an appearance in tho poll are
Arizona at ninth, Washington
at 14th, and Washington State
at 17 th

Lyons shot u 145 during the
flrsi two rounds and a 220 over
the final throe rounds Tuesday
for a four-way fourth-place tie
in the Individual race.
Tho Oregon team was sixth
overall in the team standings at
the Wolf Pack Classic with a
911 total.
Doug DuChatoau was the
only other Oregon competitor
finishing in the top thirty. Ho
shot a 157 on Monday and a
22U Tuesday for a three-way
23rd-placo tie.
Winning the overall loam
race was Pacific, pacing the
field with an 885 stroke total.
Nevada was u mere two strokes
behind for second place, shoot
ing 887.
Pacific's Brian Wear shot a
214 for the individual champi
onship. His 2-under-par score
beat out second-place Dave
Schneider of San Diego State,
who shot 217 during the two
days.
Other Oregon competitors in
cluded 35th-place Troy Tamiyu
with a 233, 45th-place Hob
Rannow with a 235. and 75th
place |im Chrisman with a 245.
