O'Neil's 10-yard pass landed in
Harris' arms for the redshirt
freshman quarterback's first
completion ever in a college
football game
Relief O'Neil got that king

ing about living up to the loom
ing ghost of Bill Musgrave, the
20-ycar-old O’Neil could now
concentrate on catching up to
Washington State, which then
led 7-0 near the end of the
opening quarter.

"That's a good feeling to go

ty happy with my performance,
but I've got a lot of room for im

win on Sop. 7, but improve
ment is definitely on his mind,
too.
"More complete passes,"

"By his own admission. Dan
ny feels somewhat unfulfilled
because he wants to play bettor
than that," offensive coordina

keep him a little hungry that

"I think early on he looked a
little nervous and a little antsy

Brooks was wincing at
O'Neil's only major error hut

"I'm glad we cun still do
those things, make those mis
takes, and still win a football

game, but 1 think he needs to
settle down a little more
"He had a lot of fine plays in
