Student to dance a lion’s share

Many people are familiar
with the Chinese lion dance
Made famous in movies, pa
rades and the like, the damn is
a traditional way to celebrate
the Chinese New Year.
University junior Eric Mali
knows the ceremony better
than most lie's been doing it
in various events for the past
three years, and he'll be on
stage once again this Sunday at
the Asian Celebration.
“My mother is involved in
the Asian Council." Mali said,
explaining how he learned the
dance. "They needed young,
healthy bodies, and 1 got
sucked in that way."
Once there. Mah. a chemistry
major and a Eugene resident for
the past 17 years, enjoyed what
he was doing
"It's fun." he said "That's
win I stayed with it
