The Ducks kept with the Bea

half. Oregon State jumped out
to a quick six-point lead
Oregon looked lifellss in the
second half before Bourn's
third trey at 17:35 sounded the
starting gun for the Ducks'
scoring. Her two free throws
with nine minutes left capped .1
six-point comeback for the
surging Ducks, and tied the
contest at
Bourn picked up her fourth
foul of the game a minute later
but stayed in and again tied the
game for Oregon Her fourth
three-pointer with just over
four minutes remaining loc ked
the score at 56-56.
The two teams exchanged
baskets and leads during the*
next three minutes, and after
Oregon State's Natalia Mattick
scored a lay-in with 33 seconds
to give her club a 63-62 lead,
the- Beavers were in the driver's
seat and heading toward the
finish line.
But the Ducks got in the; way
of the Oregon State victory
road, and it was the Beavers
that ended up as roadkill. Ore
gon's Trina McCartney drove
the lane looking for a shot but
instead dished off to Bourn on
the outside for the high-arcing
winning shot.
The senior guard scored only
one three-pointer in this sea
son's first meeting of the two
teams, but her fifth trey at Ore
gon State left her shooting a re
markable 16 of 22 from three1
point land in Oregon's last
