Oregon wrestlers pin BYU, 36-2

The Oregon wrestling express stopped in
McArthur Court (or .1 rare home meet Thursday,
and the 7-0 Ducks celebrated their first night in
front of the home 1 rowd by steamrolling Brigham

wrestlers jump to a quick 17-0 advantage with
major de< isions by Dan Vidlak. Pat llirai. and
Roh Stone, and a technical fall win by Scott

Glenn's takedown of Kick Porter with 1 34 re
maining in the third period gave Oregon a five
point technical fall in the 142-pound class and
the big 17-0 advantage
BYU's only points came at 151) pounds where
the Cougars' Phil Armstrong fought to a 3-3 draw
with Pat Craig, who was battling an injured knee
suffered in practice Wednesday.
Curt Strahm continued his hot pace, using five
takedowns to defeat Kick Fvans in the 190 match.
13-0 Strahm's season record is now 18-1.
Other victories for the Ducks came in the 158-.
It>7- and 177-pound classes.
Thursday's win was Oregon's 18th straight
dual meet win over two seasons. That record, and
next month's Pat ific-10 Conference meet, has the
