If it hadn’t been for Brantley's defense on Brandon, the Oregon guard might have gone for 50 points. "I read in the newspaper where every shot I took I'd have to work for and I did have to work fur the trail," Brandon said. "I'm pleased with how I played, but when you lose it really spoils it." Brandon came into the game leading the t'ac-10 in scoring at 25.0 points a game, but said he didn't feel any pressure to carry the Oregon scoring load. "I don’t put that much pres sure on myself." he said. "Peo ple think 1 do but I don't feel any pressure to average 26 points a game I just take it as it comes." Besides getting scoring from only Brandon in the the first half, the Ducks had 10 of their 13 turnovers in the first 20 min utes. and Brandon said that maybe the Beavers wanted this game a little more because they were playing at home. "Kirst of all 1 think they were more hungry than we were,” he said. "Their intensity level early on was a lot higher, we weren't running our plays on offense, and they got a lead." Kor Scott, there was one rea son the Beavers won for the 25th time in 28 Civil War games. "We have a better chance of winning when we have very balanced scoring," he said. "Terrell is going to get his points ... but one guy can't do it all." OUEOON (7*1 Jordan 13, 3-4 5. Fita 0*1. 0-0, 0, Lucas 7 12. 7 12, 21 Brandon 14 25. 010, 38, Muon 2-4.
