Kobayashi. a Japa nose exchange student, won two races, finished second in another and contributed in sev eral relay events He won the 1(H) and 200-me ter Ink kstrok.es. setting a meet record in the 100. and placed second in the 200-meter indi vidual medley Other swimmers who scored points included David Hill, who garnered second, third and fourth-place finishes in freestyle events, and Tim Waud. who earned a fifth and sixth-place finish in the 4(H) and 200-meter individual med ley races, respectively. Although the men fared a lit tle better in Tacoma then the women.
