But for tlu' Oregon Ducks, there was too mui h excitement in the form of costly mistakes that led to a J2-31 loss to Colo rado State The loss left the Ducks at 8-4 for the second straight season while the Rams finished ti 4 in their first howl appearance since l‘)48 "We gave you an exi iting football game, by golly ex citement, dropped balls, penal ties, mistakes." Oregon Coach Rich Brooks said "You have to give Colorado State a lot of credit. They're a hard-nosed football team.
