lege of meeting Man us Woods the past three
years have one person to thank.

It was Michael Woods who introduced Marcus
Woods and his two other brothers and one sister
to sports while the Woods family lived in San
Antonio. Ie\ . and because of Michael Woods,
quarterbacks around the Pacific-10 Conference
are now taking cover

Michael Woods, who played on an NA1A na
tional championship team in San Angelo, Tex. as
a defensive back, might be one of the l>esl coach
es nobody ever heard of.
Shawn Woods, now 24, played outside iine
bm ker at Portland State, but a broken jaw ended
bis career CiKcina Woods was a four-time 100
and 200-meter state champion in track at Corval
lis High School and will come to Oregon next
year to compete in both volleyball and track after
enrolling at Linn Benton Community College this
school year.
I he youngest Woods is I-aMont. a senior tail
back at Corvallis High School who was also the
Oregon AAA too meter sprint champ last spring
Then there is Marcus, the middle of the five,
who has introduced himself to opposing quarter
liacks with. 10 career sacks, including five this
season
