GENERAL INFORMATION
The EMU Craft Center is a comprehensive Arts Program offering well equipped facilities
and workshops in mosl areas of the Visual Arts. The program is both educational and
recreational and encourages all levels of interest, from beginning hobbyist to serious
artist. II you have an interest in art or a favorite hobby, the EMU Craft Center at the
University of Oregon is for you! You‘11 find us in the Krb Memorial Union (13th and
University) on the lower level, east wing.
MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
C'ralt Center membership entitles you to use the facilities and tools in the Craft Center
anytime we're open. Membership is always available for the' entire UO community, UO
alumni and current I CC students. The general public may purchase a Craft Center
membership w ith enrollment in a Craft Center workshop costing $10 or more. Day use
passes are available for current UO community and UO alumni. I D. is required.
Memberships are valid for the term in which they are purchased, and arc not refundable.
Membership Fees (per term):
$5 UO students, faculty, staff, and spouses
$12 UO alumni, and c urrent LCC students
$12 General public w ith enrollment in Craft Center workshop costing $10 or more
••Discounts: Memberships are $8 for UO alumni, LCC students and
general public with enrollment in workshop costing $20 or more.
Day Use Fees:
$1 UO students, fac ulty and staff $2 UO alumni
Membership is required for workshops that use Crull Center fac ilities and equipment.
Workshops requiring memberships are starred (*).
STUDIO FACILITIES
EMU Craft Center facilities available for use include a ceramics area with high
firc capabilities, darkrtxims equipped for both black-and-white and color print
ing, a jewelry lab with casting and soldering equipment, a woodshop, and
facilities for silkscnecn, batik, stained and fused glass, lapidary, bike repair,
sewing, and numerous fiber techniques. The Cralt Center has hand tools, btxiks
and pcriodicalsformcmbcru.sc within thcCcnicr. Various supplies arc available
for sale; lockers arc available to members forSl (small)or SI.75 (large) per term.
WORKSHOP REGISTRATION
Registration is on a first-comc-firsl-scrve basis, continuing throughout the term
until classes begin or arc filled. Preregistration is strongly recommended to
ensure your place in a class. Workshop regislrauon can be done in person or by
mail, and must be accompanied with full payment. Members of the University
community purchasing Craft Center memberships will be required to present
University I D.
REFUND POLICY
Workshops will be refunded 100%, 72 hours prior to the first meeting, 0%
thereafter. “Intro Special'’ workshops are not refundable. If a workshop is
cancelled, a full refund will be given. Workshops which do not meet the
minimum requirements will be cancelled on or before the first class meeting.
Memberships are not refundable. If a membership was purchased for 1/2
price with a workshop, the full membership fee will be charged in the event the
student withdraws from the class.

bright tie dyed items. I earn how to create a variety of
patterns using different tying and dyeing techniques.

Just the prescription to perk up your bike and help you
avoid wear, tear and repair bills. Instruction will cover
lubrication, tire trouble, brake and gear service, and
trouble-shooting. Learning these care and mainte
nance skills will help you keep your bike rolling
smoothly and safely. Bring your bike to class. 3 hours
