Gonzaga proves easy prey
for Webfoot volleyballers

The Oregon volleyball team
took only 50 minutes to put
away the Gonzaga Bulldogs
Saturday night at McArthur
Court as the Ducks head into the
final week of the regular season
looking for a spot in the NCAA
tournament.
The 15-2. 15-3. 15-5 drubbing
gives Oregon a 16-9 overall
record and drops Gonzaga to
6-24
The Ducks were never
threatened by the Bulldogs.
Five service aces put Oregon
on top 12-1 in the first game,
and the Ducks had all they

outscored the Bulldogs 15-1
behind the strong serving of
Stephanie Snyder and
Stephanie Drier.
Michele Krebsbach ham
mered four kills in the third
game, and Drier put away
another kill for the match.
The Ducks committed only
seven errors to Gonzaga's 23,
and individually Oregon was
led by Lauri Krejcha's eight
kills, 10 digs, and three blocks,
as well as Eva Windlin's 14
assists.
Snyder, the Ducks'
sophomore setter, said, “1 think
the three wins we had this week
helped; they made us feel much
better and they were really en
couraging."
