chitectural plan for the cafe's
interior in order to meet city
building code requirements.
When a plan is accepted and
Gunther receives his building
permits, he will start refur
bishing and altering the interior
to accommodate the cafe.
The work will include install
ing insulation and electrical
wiring, replacing plaster on the
walls, refinishing the wood,
sanding and painting and ad
ding a heating system. Then he
has to build a kitchen and alter
the basement for storage.
"The work itself I don't think
is that difficult." he said.
"Those things are only surface
things. They don't involve the
structure of the building ”
Gunther hopes the work can
be completed in two or three
months and he can open the
restaurant sometime early in
spring. The cafe will appeal to
all age groups as it will offer
senior citizen discounts as well
as late-night hours for students.
"I want it to be a place where
anyone feels comfortable,"
Gunther said. "1 see this

The cafe will sell a wide
variety of coffee, tea and
cigarettes as well as "inexpen
