board composed of students and
alumni will be appointed by the
association's board of directors
to negotiate the same type of
program for students
"We are sensitive to the fact
that there are many students at
the University with good credit,
money management skills and
other credit cards,” Super said.
Along with the University.
Oregon State University
negotiated to develop this pro
gram with ll.S Hank, making
the contracts between the
universities separate but
identical.
I,ewis and Clark College. I.in
field Collage and Portland State
University will offer similar
programs to their alumni as
well.
"We have developed a
tremendous program for our
members," Super said "We’re
always looking for oppor
tunities to sponsor programs
that benefit the Alumni
Association and University as a
whole."
Upcoming photo exhibit to show
product of student workshop
Students of the University’s
Photography Workshop will
show their work Oct. 26.
through Nov. 7 at Gallery 141.
located near the courtyard of
l.awrence Hall.
Photographs on display
represent the impressions of
eight students who par
ticipated during August in the
fine arts department’s annual
workshop based at the
Malheur Field Station in
eastern Oregon.
The multi-media exhibit
also will feature an assort
ment of creative works in
cluding writings and draw
ings created by the students as
part of the workshop.
Terri Warpinski, the
University photography pro
fessor who leads the
workshop, said the rich varie
ty of scenery and wildlife in
the region came as a surprise
to most of the students
because they expected to see
an arid desert.
"People associate sand
dunes and cactus with
deserts." Warpinski said.
“But when they come to the
workshop they are surprised
to also find caves, hot springs
and birds of all kinds."
