The University of Oregon Bookstore, located at the corner of 13th and Kincaid, is the most convenient bookstore, not only for students, but By Gary Henley for the public as well. The store has a textbook section and an extensive general book section. Employee Chris Standish of the textbook sec tion says there are usually 3.000-4.000 textbooks in stock, depending on the number of courses and faculty requests. Approximately one-third of the textbooks are used. Students, faculty, and staff receive an 11 percent discount on new and used books. Standish says buy-backs for both new and used books are one-half of the new selling price, ‘‘so you don't wind up spending that much on us ed books." he said. The general book section carries about :t5.000 titles in 85 sections, according to employee Mike Pritiken. "The biggest sections would be children's and literature. We also have a large selection of computer books." Pritikin said. The general sec tion also carries calenders and postcards.
