groups are open to all
students. Placements and
auditions are September
21-23 at the School of
Music. Membership lists
for late registration will
be provided September

Vocal Jazz Ensemble

Women's Chorus
Brass Choir
Collegium Musicum
Gospel Ensemble
Song and Dance Troupe
Percussion Ensemble
Small Instrumental
Ensembles
Small Choral Ensembles
You may register for the
following groups without an
audition:
Oregon Marching Band
Symphonic Band
Men's Chorus
Broaden Your Knowledge
of Music
These classes are open
to all students,
regardless of previous
musical background or
experience:
Introduction to Music and
Its Literature
(meets arts and letters cluster
requirement)
Basic Music
History of Jazz
Music in World Cultures
(all the above meet arts and letters
group requirements)
Classic Symphony and
Sonata
Music of Bach and Handel
Introduction of 20th
Century Music
Class Piano
Class Guitar
Take a Minor in Music
Choose a minimum of 27
credits from a prescribed
outline of courses, in
cluding classes that satisfy
the arts and letters cluster
requirement, performing
ensembles, and individual
studies. Thus, music can be
part of any degree program.

If you want to learn more
about School of Music ac
tivities, come to a special
concert, Thursday,
September 24, in Beall Con
cert Hall at 7:00 PM. Faculty
members will present a
varied program. A public
reception with refreshments
will follow, where you can
meet with faculty members
and get answers to your
questions. The concert and
reception are free!
