along with Santana, the
Outlaws and Eddie Money,
played Aulzen Stadium in
1978, thousands of fans camped
out at Alton Baker. At the time,
there was no anti-camping or
dinance in Eugene anti Autzen
Stadium was not yet in the city
limits. The county ended up
spending $15,000 to clean up
the park after the fans left.
Officials expect participants
of the Oregon Country Fair in
Veneta. scheduled for July
10-12, to remain in town, ad
ding to the thousands already
expected for the concert. The
Country Fair traditionally
draws between 18-20,000
people.

The student claims her friend
was not allowed in the same
room with her while she was

almrtion referral, the counselor
explained they did not believe
in altortion and gave her an anti
abortion booklet to read At this
point she got up and walked
out.
Planned Parenthood officials
say they receive complaints of
this nature regularly and
believe the clinics are “part of a
national anti-choice" campaign
against abortion
Confusion arises over these
referral services because they
are often listed in the yellow
Inigos under birth control. Plan
ned Parenthood officials said.

Family Planning Advocates
of Oregon is working to change
this, according to their presi
dent, Anne Plunkett. The
group, a coalition of pregnancy
related clinics and medical per
sonnel. is working with
telephone book publishers to
appropriately designate clinics
in their yellow pages based on
what services they actually
offer.
To achieve this, FPAQO has
gathered a coalition of
"legitimate” pregnancy clinics
who Plunkett said offei a full
range of advice and services to
women. Coalition members
want to advertise as a group so
consumers can readily tell
which clinics are legitimate.
Other organizations, part of
the FPAOO, include the Oregon
affiliate of the National Abor
tion Rights Action league who
send press releases to high
schools and colleges all over the
state warning of what they call
"fake clinics."
