Oral defense
What is this backlash against
the Reverend Oral Roberts? The
Reverend is obviously not ask
ing for money for his personal
gain; he is going to use it to help
the oppressed in the Third
World.
Since when is it a crime to
help your fellow man through
charity?
Where were the stone
throwers when Bruce Springs
teen, Bob Geldof and all the
other left-leaning pop-artists
were using their influence and
popularity to rape the American
public of their money to raise
funds for USA for Africa?
Maybe if the Reverend picked
up an electric guitar, put on a
Beastie Boys t-shirt and
shouted, “You’ve gotta fight for
your right to party,” then this
whole issue would be moot.

Without religion
The ODE seems emptier now.
Professor Rousseve has con
tributed his last comment on
agnosticism and religious faith.
1 and many others miss the
thoughtfulness and elegance
with which he presented us
with his thinking.

A recent respondent to one of
his letters suggested that Dr.
Rousseve move from his
agnostic stance. He has done so.
He is now a post-agnostic
atheist.

World words
Thank you for your coverage
before and after the World
Game. The articles were well
written and thorough.
However, there is one error that
requires a correction. The
March 4 article indicated that
the event was a fund-raiser for
OSP1RG. That group supported
the game in spirit, but did not
co-sponsor precisely because it
was a fund-raising event. They
have requested a printed correc
tion because the fund-raising
component conflicts with their
way of doing things. j
