Project Saferide adds route
to service off-campus areas

The ASUO’s Project Saferide. started at the
University last spring to protect women from
rape, will begin driving an off-campus route
tonight in addition to its on-campus route.
The ASUO had planned to operate an off
campus route beginning last term, but was unable
to find enough volunteer drivers, according to
John Booth, chairman of Westmoreland’s tenants
council.
The half-hour on-campus route travels to all
the dormitories, the EMU, the Main Library, the
Law Library, the sororities and as of this term.

The hour-long off-campus route will go from
the EMU Fishbowl down 13th Avenue to the I.aw
Library, the Main Library and then to the east
campus area. It then will continue to Amazon
Family Housing, the west campus area and to
Westmoreland Family Housing.
