Sen.-elect Larry Hill, D Eugene, will chair the labor Committee. Sen Bill Frye. D Eugene, will again chair the Judiciary Committee Although Democrats are still "juggling" the composition of the Joint Ways and Means Com mittee, Sen.-elect Grattan Kerans, D-Eugene. probably will be named to the committee, said Dan Field, a spokesman for Kitzhaber. The worker’s compensation program and unemployment compensation are the two major issues HUI expects to deal with, he said While a large number of employees depend on these pro grams for assistance, "at the same time the cost and efficien cy of the programs are a concern of business."
