(Provide services such as breast and pelvic exams and Pap Smears, treatment of gynecological problems and sexually-transmitted diseases, fitting and prescribing of all birth control methods, information, and pregnancy testing and counseling.) 3. Minor Surgery. (Major surgery and other procedures requiring general anesthesia and specialists are referred to private physicians.) 4. Sports Medicine Clinic. (Provides services for athletes, recreationalists, and other students who have injuries, pain, or who need advice regarding physical activities and conditioning.) 5. Allergy Clinic. 6. Nutrition Counseling. (Diet analysis and individualized weight control pro gram can be discussed during a ses sion with the nutrition educator.) 7. Immunizations Clinic. 8. Health Education. Pharmacy with registered pharmacists. (Prescriptions from either neaitn center pnysi cians or outside physicians may be filled for registered students. Some generic drugs are available to save you money, as well as a limited supply of over-the-counter drugs at a reduced rate.) 11. Psychiatric consultation. (By staff psychiatrists.) 12. Physical Therapy. (Patients need a physician’s referral for treatment from either a health center physician or outside physician.) 13. Licensed clinical laboratory. (A fee is charged but is generally lower than fees charged by comparable laboratories.) 14. Premarital examinations. 15. Diagnostic x-ray facility. (A fee is charged for your x-ray work at a rate generally lower than comparable x-ray facilities.) 16. Care of simple fractures. 17. Dental Services. (Service includes screening, x-rays, cleaning of teeth, dental education.) A minimal fee is charged. What You've Paid Pon There is no charge (or a number of Health Center services because you have paid for them with your student health fee: (1) All visits to Health Center physicians and dentist. (2) Nursing Care. (3) Mental Health Care. (4) Health Education Services. What You Will Be Billed For The University Business Office in Oregon Hall will bill you for all lab tests, x-rays, medications, shots, physical therapy, dental procedures, and special procedures. Under some circumstances you will be billed for failure to Keep an appointment. If you are referred to service outside the Student Health Center, you will be responsible for all bills. Your Health Center provides general medical ambulatory care. There is no hospital care. It is strongly urged that you have health insurance coverage for hospitalization and unexpected emergency situations.
