second-place Stanford.
Oregon lost a tough one to
UCLA In Mac Court earlier this
season 12-15, 15-9, 11-15.
11-15,
The Ducks will have their
work cut out for them on the
Bruins' home court, where
UCLA flaunts the best home
court record in the conference
(10-2).
"I don't think (the Bruins)
have blatant weaknesses.” Rees
said. "They have good people
playing and good people on
their bench — but they can be
beat.”
The Oregon-UCLA match up
looks to be one focused largely
on each teams' hitting attack.
Here is a look at some of the
statistics involved:
•The Bruins lead the nation in
kill average (16.83 a game),
while the Ducks stand sixth on
the list (15.89).
•Oregon boasts a powerful one
two offensive punch in junior
Teri Kramer and freshman
Michele krebsbach; Kramer
leads the nation in the in
dividual kill department (5.45)
and Krebsbach ranks fifth
(5 02).
•A lot will be riding on the per
formance of the Ducks' setter
Stephanie Snyder and UCLA’s
setter Ann Boyer. The two
catalysts are ranked one-two in
the nation in assists with 13.80
and 12.69 averages,
respectively.
Despite the impressive
statistics held be each team, the
Ducks have nothing to lose
when they visit UCLA.
"We can do a couple of things
— help ourselves and make the
standings (Pac-10) interesting."
Rees said.
