Commission and the Oregon
Department of Energy. He said
these inspectors have access to
every aspect of the nuclear
power plant and have the power

the Springfield PLO is going to
be busy again this year. The
PLO (Pumpkin Liberation
Organization) is spending its
sixth Halloween working to
fight child abuse
The PLO leader. "Yeswere
Veryfat," announced that his
organization is sponsoring
“Pumpkins Across Spr
ingfield.'* a line-up of about 400
pumpkins stretching from the
“colossal white monstrosity
that guards the gateway to Spr
ingfield" to the Springfield City
Hall
People are invited to sponsor
a pumpkin, and all proceeds
will go to SCAR, a child abuse
prevention organization. The
PLO has also recorded a song to
help promote the event. "We
Are The Pumpkins" was
recorded by PLO members in
August and is currently on sale
at various record stores in the
area.
The event will take place at 4
p.m. today in front of Spr
ingfield City Hall.
