here in America, but it's true Millions of Americans go
hungry every day Millions are homeless For them. too.

hungry and homeless in America, and is a project of the
USA for Africa foundation whose We Are The World"
project last year raised millions of dollars for African
famine victims
Hands Across America is our opportunity to take a
stand together to fight hunger and homelessness here
at home in the United States — to help Americans help

in a line stretching more than 4,000 miles, coast-to
coast, demonstrating our strength and our compassion,
capturing worldwide attention, and earning a place in
history in the largest community gathering ever known in
our nation
By taking a place in the line, or by participating as a
concerned contributor who is unable to stand in the line,
eoch one of us joining Hands Across America can make
a difference in the lives of millions of hungry and home
