for NorPac swimming

The Oregon women’s swim team will bn looking to place In the
top three for the second straight year when they head to Portland
today through Saturday for the NorPac swimming championships.
The meet, which will Ihi held at the Tualatin Hills Aquatic
Center, will be co-hosted by Oregon and Oregon State University.
"(The University of California) Berkeley will win. and the
University of Washington will be in second." says Oregon coach
Dan ('ole. "We just want to be closer to Cal and Washington than
last year.”

Washington was in second with 4,003 and Oregon finished third

Cole says he expects senior Babette Brundage. in the 200- and
400-yard individual medley, and junior Gwen Koedel. in the 1.050
and 500-yard freestyle, to have the best chances at making it to the
NCAA meet.
