Faculty Artist Series continues Wednesday with a perfor
mance by Charles Dowd in classical percussion accom
panied by Dean Kramer, piano; Victor Steinhardt, piano;
George Recker. trumpet; and Tim Cogswell, percussion.
Compositions to be performed include Carter s Four
Pieces for Four Timpani”; Kraft’s "Encounters III^ ; Barati s
"Three Inventions for Solo Timpani”; and Bartok s
“Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion. The concert
begins at 8 p.m. in Beall Hall. Admission is $1 for
students.
Hungry? See "Eating Raoul” Saturday at 7 and 9 p.m. in
room 180 PLC. Destined to win a place in cinema history,
"Eating Raoul” is a low-budget, independent production
that took the critics by surprise. A married couple needing
money lure wealthy perverts, bonk them on the head with
a deadly frying pan and steal their cash. It gets a lot
weirder from there. Admission is $2.
“The Good Fight," the
story of U.S. volunteers
who fought against
fascism in the Spanish
Civil War, shows tonight
at 8 p.m. in the EMU
Ballroom. Bill Bailey, a
Veteran of the Abraham
Lincoln Brigade, will talk
after the show. Admis
