Hypocrites!
Although I didn’t have the
guts to speak out last night at a
meeting I attended, I am still so
mad today I feel I must say
something. I went to see Audre
I^ourde, a fantastic poet and
author who writes on racism
and societal problems. After her
statements, there was much
time for dialogue, and many in
teresting things were said.
The room was packed with
mostly women, and a handful of
men. During this discussion on
racism and sexism, a young
man stood up to voice an opi
nion, and 1 was shocked at the
audience's reaction — they
booed him! These same people
had been screaming about
discrimination towards anyone
for any reason; skin color,
religion, sex, anything. Then
when a white, male, and (God
lorbid) heterosexual stood up to
say what was on his mind, did
they see a human being with
rights and feelings inherent to
all human beings? No! They
saw someone different from
themselves, and made it very
clear that because he was dif
ferent, he (and his opinion) was
worth less than they were!

Well, it looks like Brandon
Shepard and myself got both
barrels from the homosexuals.
Should 1 apologize for my con
victions? Absolutely not! Tim
Salcedo decided to help his
argument with a list of, shall we
say, “Big Name” perverts. Does
this prove his point, or salve his
conscience? Ms. Dockstader
wants us to believe that
homosexuals are a minority just
like handicaps and persons of a
different color. What a total slap
in the face to handicaps and
other races. Handicaps and
other races don't make a con
scious decision to be handicap
ped or of a different color. Each
time a homosexual decides to
jump in the sack, he does so by
making a conscious decision.
Since when should homosex
uals pervert logic, and disgrace

minorities who make no con
scious decision to be minorities
by saying that gays are true-to
form minorities?
I was shocked by Ms. Pin
ckney’ unorthodox statement,
“Homosexuality is normal.”
Tell us Ms. Pinckney, is it nor
mal for two men to have sex? Is
it normal Ms. Pinckney for
women to have sex? It’s
perverted logic Ms. Pinckney to
believe homosexuality is “made
natural” simply because
homosexuals have lived in dif
ferent cultures. Ms. Pinckney,
do you really believe “nature”
supports the homosexual
lifestyle? If you do, read the
definition of “perverson,” and
then enlighten us on AIDS and
the various other forms of VD
that are rampant in. the
homosexual community. Now,
do you really think “nature”
supports homosexuality?

Lesbianism is one road to
freedom from oppression by
men. Our ability to obtain love
from women frees lesbians of
dependence on men for love,
sex. and money. Lesbians do
not cater to male egos. Lesbians
do not fall for this “natural”
horseshit the patriarchy feeds
us.
Lesbians are not afraid of be
ing abandoned by men. Women
who are totally independent of
men are a terrible threat to male
supremacy. Lesbians do not
need men. therefore men have
less power over women.
Lesbians are less reluctant to
express our hostility towards
male supremacy. ',/Vomen who
reject the patriarchy are called
‘‘lesbian, dyke, butch” or
whatever men see as an insult.
To be hostile towards the
patriarchy, then, is to be a les
bian. Well, if lesbianism. is
caused by hostility, then it is a
healthy reaction to rejecting
male supremacy.
I can only laugh at anyone
who falls for Freud’s notion of
penis envy. People ask, ‘‘How
do you do it without a penis?”
as if the penis is the ultimate in
sexual pleasure. Let me tell you,
lesbians can do without the
penis and keep it going longer,
too! Lesbianism involves love
and respect, not sucking up to
