will speak at the University
Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the
EMU Ballroom — rain or shine.
Mondale/Ferraro officials an
nounced Saturday.
The former candidate for the
Democratic presidential
nomination will be stopping in
Eugene during a one-day trip to
Oregon to gather support for the
Democratic ticket. Hart will at
tend a luncheon in Portland
shortly before noon and will
talk there at 12:20. Tickets for
the luncheon are still available
and can be obtained tor $8.50
each by calling Joe Vivalo at
243-6400.
Democratic presidential can
didate Walter Mondale also will
be in Portland early Monday
morning for a brief speech at
Portland State University.
The event is sponsored by the
ASUO and the Mondale/Ferraro
campaign.

Committee
The EMU Budget Committee
elected Ahrea Summers, a
student-at-large representative
to the board, as subcommittee
chair at its first meeting Tues
day afternoon.
The nine-member committee
adjourned after a brief discus
sion on the group's functions
and procudures. The next
meeting will be held Nov. H at 4
p.m. in Room 337 EMU and is
open to the public.
