Antique Chinese works exibited A benefit sale and exhibition titled “200 years of Fine Chinese Porcelain and Cloisonne,” is scheduled at the University’s Museum of Art from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Sponsored by the Friends of the Museum of Art, the sale and exhibition will feature works from collections of three in dividual collectors. The show and sale will in clude examples of cloisonne, or decorative enameling, from the Ching Dynasty (1644 - 1912) to present. The porcelain pieces will include fine Ching dynasty wine jugs, ink boxes and water vases. Some of the items are documented and certified and prices may range from $15 to $50,000. The University’s fine arts faculty exhibit, on display in Gallery 141, will conclude this Friday, making way for next week’s graduate exhibit. The exhibit covers a wide variety of styles and methods, including abstract, expres sionist, realistic, landscape and fantasy. Works include pain ting, sculpture, fibers, photography and jewlery. • “This show provides a uni que opportunity for the com munity and students to look at the work of our faculty,” says Denise Clark, gallery director and graduate teaching fellow. “A Century of the Lively Arts, ” an exhibit display ing the history of performing arts in Eugene, will be shown in the EMU art gallery Oct. 14 through Jan. 4. et al.
