Photo by Michael Clapp ASUO distributes voting guide The Oregon Student Lobby Voter's Guide is being distributed this week. The guide provides information on the positions of legislative can didates on student issues, the voting record of legislators during the 1983 legislative session and a summary of legislation affecting students in troduced in the 1983 Legislature. “The guide is designed to help you find legislators who are voting right on legislative issues." says OSL research assistant Mymie Daut. The guide also includes questionnaires answered by incumbent and challenging candidates for state representative and senate offices, showing their views on student issues such as tuition, financial aid and Ballot Measure 2, which would limit property taxes if passed, Daut says. Absentee ballot forms and a listing of county election offices are included in the voter’s guide. Students can pick up copies of the voter’s guide this week at the ASUO office, Suite 4, EMU. Panel will discuss tax measure Ballot Measure 2, which places a 1.5-percent limit on property tax. will be the topic of a "brown bag” forum in the EMU Ballroom Thurs day at noon.
