IFC votes to clear up old debts The newly hired members of the In cidental Fee Committee voted to clear up the outstanding debts of various programs as well as set its own spen ding limits for the summer session at a meeting held June 7. The Committee directed its first re quest at the Model United Nations, voting 6-0 that the group repay the more than $400 it overspent last year, according to IFC member Mary Kay Menard. Based on IFC Resolution 3, which states that “all IFC funded pro grams shall be responsible for the repayment of their previous year debts to the ASUO Surplus Account,” the program will De neia naDie The IFC also passed 6-0 a resolution limiting the summer subcommittee’s spending to $2,500. This money will be used to fund the needs of various programs, such as the Student Cam paign for Disarmament — formerly SNuFF — which the IFC allotted $670 to fund its summer campus film series, Menard says. The resolution is an attempt to keep the three-member subcommittee’s spending manageable, Menard says. The group will need the approval of other IFC members if expenditures ex ceed the $2,500 limit.
