All weekday games are at 3:35. There are some games scheduled on Saturday so check the schedule at the RIM Office. The new requirement of winning one game has increased the number of teams in the playoffs this year. Seventy percent of teams entered in flag football this year made the playoffs. Congratulations to all participants! 3x3 Basketball Tournament will be a two day tournament this year. Teams will play in round robin pool and then go on to a single elimination. Entries are due by 5:00pm on November 14. The tournament will be November 15 and 16 at 3:30prn. Get your team organized now. A team consists of 3 players and may have alternate. Racquetball and Tennis Court Reservations - As the skies become gray, the daylight diminishes and rain begins to drip, thoughts turn to indoor activities. Pac-10 membership blessing and burden Being a member of. an athletic conference can either be a bless ing in disguise or one frustration after another for a university. It can be a blessing if you are a school like Oregon. Because you are in a conference where television revenue is increasing yearly and national exposure is commonplace — and not necesarily because of what the Ducks do, but what the other conference teams are doing — you stand to reap money without lifting a finger. Being involved in a con ference can be frustrating if you are Southern Cal or UCLA. You are forced to play the same schools in league play in all sports instead of having the op portunity to randomly select op ponents that might bring more at the gate in receipts. Being a member of a conference, in foot ball, limits the conference win ner to playing in the Rose Bowl — and thus a potential missed chance at a possible national championship if the Big 10 win ner is weak that year. Living as an independent is the road to take for some schools but not for others.
