Flanker Ernie Randolphi (front) struggles for position, while Andy Sisavic (kneeling, back) looks to see who will kick the ball out of the scrum and into play. The ruggers, coached by Alex Mohr and Paul McCarthy, have a 6-2 record this season. Oregon beat Reed College 23-6 Oct. 8 in its last game. The Ducks' next game is in Bend Oct. 29 against the Indian Creek Rugby Club. After that, it's the Eugene Rugby Club Nov. 12 at Monroe Junior EJigh School and Oregon State University Nov. 19 at South Bank Field. Last season, Oregon posted an im pressive 19-5 mark, but Mohr says that record will be hard to duplicate this year. The Ducks return just four starters — Sisavic, Paul Craber, Jack Rush and Tim Love. According to Mohr, the race for an eight team club sports league title is wide open. Other teams in Oregon's league include In dian Creek, Reed College, OSU, Salem Rugby Club, Eugene Rugby Club, Portland Rugby Club, and Portland festers. The Ducks were 15-0 against league rivals in 1982. Photo by Dave Kao Giants. Cardinals battle to a tie ST. LOUIS (AP) — St. Louis kicker Neil O'Donoghue missed two field goals within the last 63 seconds of overtime Monday night as the Cardinals and New York Giants battled to a 20-20 Na tional Football League tie. The tie was only the seventh in NFL regular season play since the overtime procedure was initiated in 1974. The Cardinals' best shot at a vk tory came with 1:03 left in the game, but a 19-yard field goal at tempt by O'Donoghue sailed to the right Forty-three seconds later, after rookie cornerback Lionel Washington intercepted a Giant pass and returned it 25 yards to the New York 25, O'Donoghue missed again, this time from 42 yards out. O'Donoghue had booted a 22-yard field goal with 54 seconds remaining in regulation to knot the score and send the game into overtime. The Cardinals took the kickoff to begin the overtime on their own 19-yard line. MR. TENNIS Thursday October 20-October 29 MR.
