ASUO minutes SUAB Student University Affairs Board members voted down the person recommended by the ASUO ex ecutive to be an EMU board member and discussed the gover nance issue at length at the SUAB meeting Thursday. Former SUAB member Dave Bauer, who did not satisfy the board with his position on the EMU board's policy on free speech, was not approved as a member of the EMU board in a SUAB vote. Members reported on their pro gress lobbying faculty regarding the proposed reduction in student senate members and discussed strategies for a compromise make up in the body. IFC Nineteen ASUO organizations attended the Incidental Fee Com mittee meeting Thursday to hear information on writing group goals in preparation for preparing their budgets for 1984-85. Bill Hallmark, ASUO coor dinator of programs and finance, told the group the purpose of the meeting was to establish funding criteria. After explaining the guidelines established by the ASUO for fun ding, Hallmark then introduced each member of the IFC. IFC Chair julie Davis then told the 19 groups what the committee would look for when examining goals and budgets and encourag ed anyone unfamiliar with the process to seek the help of their "tag." A "tag" is that member of the IFC assigned to a particular pro gram and the person who becomes the most knowledgeable about that program's budget. )im Middaugh, recently hired as editor of the ASUO newspaper Off the Record, told the group the paper intended to publish infor mation about the ASUO programs and encouraged them to con tribute information. CONSTITUTION COURT The ASUO executive is appeal ing the wording of a recently adopted IFC resolution to the Constitution Court. Eight women are living on Kent Boeing premises in one of the camps that have been set up at Cruise missile and Pershing 2 plants around the country. The encirclement is scheduled from 2 to 4:30 p.m. today. A demonstration is also planned today at 1:30 p.m. at the Litton In dustries plant in Grants Pass.
