Convocating
Clockwise from upper-left corner:
University Pres. Paul Olum, College of Arts and Sciences Dean
Robert Berdahl, ASUO Pres. Mary Hotchkiss share a laugh with
keynote speaker Peter Pouncey, newly appointed president of
Amherst College.
Many students took the free afternoon to catch Pouncey's lec
ture on "Humanistic Imperatives in a Technological Society,” as
well as a few rays.
The full-academic regalia came out of the professorial closets
for the convocation.
And ot c ourse, there is more than one way to catch a key-note
lecture.
