What's worse, you're just about broke. Don't despair. You don't have to resort to watching television, play ing checkers with your roommate, or worst of all, doing homework. Do some bargain hunting. There are many movies on and off campus that cost less than half of the standard four bucks usually shelled out for first-run movies. In fact, even some first-run movies can be seen for a bargain price. Eugene’s two theater chains, Moyer and Luxury Theaters, have reduced admission prices of $2 for adults during special "bargain hours." The bargain prices are good only for the first showing of the day. However, blockbusters like "Return of the Jedi" usually don't have bargain prices because of motion picture studio policy. Moyer theaters also have $2 ad mission prices for all showings on "Tightwad Tuesday," while a Lux ury Theater close to campus, the Mayflower on 11th Avenue, sometimes shows double-features for the same price on the same night. If you want to stick close to cam pus, there are bargain-priced movies shown by the EMU Cultural Forum and other campus groups. Continued on Page 13E Welcome Back!
