    Building hours will change during break
Although most summer session
classes are finished, many University ser
vices will remain open in the interim
period between summer and fall terms.
The following is a list of many campus
area service’s hours:
Correction

tion of Tuesday’s Emerald Joan Her
man’s byline was left off the article

and lengthy article.
Also in Tuesday's edition, the
photo credit accompanying the
floursis article on page 6 was incor
rect. The photo was a courtesy
photo supplied to the Emerald by
John Lukacs, anthropology pro
fessor. We promise to brush after
every meal now.
Finally, a writing error that
mysteriously slipped through the
Emerald’s fail-safe, but not fool
proof, proofreading process allowed
Gloria Steinem to be named “Gloria
Steinman" in a page 5 article of
Tuesday’s edition.
Beginning Monday, the EMU will be
open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. until
Sept. 6. After Sept. 6, it will be open
weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The EMU
will remain closed on weekends through
the summer. It will resume its regular
hours Sept. 20.
The main library will be open weekdays
from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Beginning Monday, it
will be closed weekends until fall term
begins.
Esslinger and Gerlinger indoor athletic
facilities, such as the weight room and
locker rooms, will remain open weekdays
from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. On weekends, the
outdoor facilities, such as the tennis and
racquetball courts, will be free of charge.
A gate near the tennis courts will be left
unlocked to let people through when
Esslinger is closed weekends.
Gerlinger pool will not reopen until fall
term. Leighton Pool will continue its sum
mer schedule until Sept. 11, when it will
be closed through Sept. 26.
The Health Center will remain open
weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is closed
weekends. After Sept. 2, the Health
Center will be closed until Sept. 19. There
will be no emergency services during that
time.
The Counseling Center’s hours will not
change during the interim period. It is
open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All offices in Oregon Hall will remain
open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. dur
ing the interim period.
The Law School will remain open
weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The University bookstore will retain its
summer hours until fall term begins. It is
open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. It
is closed weekends during the summer.
The Museum of Art, which has been
closed most of the summer due to budget
cuts, will not reopen until Sept. 5. Its will
be open noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday
through Sunday except holidays. Free
public tours will be available at 2 p.m.
every Sunday. The art museum is free of
charge.
The museum’s fall season officially
begins Oct. 2, with an exhibit from its per
manent collection of one of the country's
most comprehensive collections of
Chinese Ch’ing dynasty costumes.
The lobby and main floor changing
galleries will form the stage for the show
“Decoding Dragons: Status Garments of
the Ch’ing Dynasty." The exhibit will run
through Nov. 6.
The Museum of Natural History, will
reopen Sept. 20.
