ANNUAL FUND
TELEFUND RESULTS
No.
or factors (Webster's Dictionary)
The first Annual Fund Telefund designed to call alumni across the United States was a tremendous success. Alumni, faculty,
staff, parents and student volunteers raised a total of $45,171 from 2,374 alumni pledges.
The key to this year’s successful telefund was the 368 volunteers who gave their time to assist with this effort. Five of the
evenings were staffed with alumni, faculty, staff and parents. Eighteen of the calling nights were staffed with volunteers from thirty
student organizations on campus. _ , , . , . ...
The student organizations were competing for cash prizes of $100, $75 and $50 for the most pledges received in one nig it.
Some groups worked together during an evening in hopes of coming up with the most pledges and splitting the prize. The results
were:

split the second place prize with 162 pledges. And, Mortar Board and Druids won third place with 145 pledges. Congratulations
for a job well done. , . „ . r. . »,
Special thanks go to Mr. Walter N. McLaughlin, Director of Business Affairs, and his staff for allowing us to use the first floor
of Oregon Hall to make our calls. Your patience and willingness to help with this program was most appreciated.
I also want to thank the College of Human Development and Performance, the Athletic Department and the Department of
Military Science for helping recruit volunteers from their departments. Your extra effort really paid off.
Sincerely,
