Museum group looks for friends
A preview showing by a well-known North
west artist wll launch the annual membership
drive for the Friends of the University Museum of
Art
The museum will close to the public from 2 to
4 p m Sunday, Nov 21, when Eugene Bennett
previews a major exhibition of his recent Oregon
landscapes
Current members or anyone interested in
membership and participation in the museum
support group's activities is invited to attend
Refreshments will be served
Annual membership dues or the volunteer
membership organization are $5 for students. $15
for individuals and $25 and up for families
"The art museum plays an important role in
the educational and cultural life of our community
and state," says co-chairperson Barbara Walker.
"It's success depends on the support of in
dividuals. businesses and organizations who
value the museum's contribution to the quality of
life in our community
