to meet the students' needs as efficiently
as possible. Quality of care Is not com
promised 1n attesting to keep costs at a
minimum.
The quality of staff, environment and
medical equipment Is maintained at a high
level to Insure that each students' medi
cal needs are met satisfactorily. Stream
lined operations to meet your needs have
been developed over the past few years,
for example, recently designed computer
information system has been Implemented
to assist you with billing your Insurance
company so your expense for care can be
reduced or eliminated. If you or your
parents have Insurance coveraqe, please
Inform us.
Remember that the quality of care Is
equivalent to other health care settlnqs
and at a reduced cost to you.

The Student Health Center offers free 30
wlnute counseling sessions for various topics
In nutrition, Including:
a) Learning new life long eating habits
b) Understanding nutrition as It relates
to you
c) Taking charge of your eating
d) Nutrition and stress
e) Nutrition and athletics
f) Nutrition and exercise/fitness
g) Nutrition and optimum health
During a session with the Nutrition Educa
tor, diet analysis and an Individualized
weight control program will be discussed. In
the case of an eating disorder such as Bulemla
and/or Anorexia Nervosa, the Nutrition Educa
tor will refer you to other Professionals on

X-Ray Department Offers
Quality X-Rays With
Maximum Safety
The Student Health Center X-ray Department
Is open from 8:30 to 5:00 .Monday through Fri
day. We close for lunch but are available to
cover emeraencles through that hour. We are
a so open on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until
11:30 a.m. A technician Is on call to provide
x-ravs every night of the week. Including Sat
urday and Sunday, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The staff consists of experienced, licensed
Registered Technologists. Our latest machine
*s less than one year old which means more
radiation safety factors are built Into the
machine to protect the patients. All equip
ment Is Inspected every year by the Radiation
control Section for the State of Oregon. We
also use special Intensifying screens and film
combinations to lower radl»tinn _
patients.

ified Radiologists. These are the same spec
ialists who would read your x-rays at Euqene
Hospital and Clinic and Sacred Heart Hospital
We take all general diagnostic x-rays ex
cept those requiring flouroscopy or dye in
jection. We do many special orthopedic views
due to the Sports Medicine Clinic at the Stu
dent Health Center and our association with
the Orthopedic Surgeons 1n Eugene.
All x-rays, according to federal law must
be ordered by a physician. We do accept or
ders from outside physicians and provide them
with your Radiologist's report In the same
manner we would one of our Student Health Cen
ter nhyslclans.
We do quality work at a rate approximately
20-30 percent less than average prices. Any
tvne of health Insurance may be used (n pay
ment or the student may apply the cost to
their general deposit.
