The Obsidian Rock Mass Fund is staging a 75-mile
one-day benefit hike to raise funds to protect Rock Mesa
in the Three Sisters Wilderness area from proposed
open-pit pumice mining The hike wilt run from the
McKenzie Pass to the Willamette Pass by way of the
Pacific Crest Trail, and will take place Saturday. Sept 4
from midnight to midnight
Hikers, assistants and sponsors are wanted Par
ticipants must provide for their own transportation to
McKenzie Pass, but return transportation to this point is
