issues affecting profitability and
productivity in business orga
nizations will be offered for
entrepreneurs, executives and
senior managers by the Univer
sity Graduate School of
Management this summer
The Executive Management
Program, scheduled for August
16-20 at the college of business
administration, will offer
instruction in strategic
planning, financial and
marketing management, finan
cial economics and human
resource management The
faculty for the program has
been selected from the Univer
sity, other leading business
schools and successful bu
siness leaders
Already registered for the
seminar are participants from
the fields of banking, high
technology, utilities, cable
television, health care and
forest products
A discussion panel on the
challenge of a total
management approach will in

Donald S Taylor, a University
English professor, and 1982
University graduate Benjamin
White have been selected for
academic awards
Taylor is among 97 scholars
nationwide awarded a grant-in
aid this year for post-doctoral
research from the American
Council of Learned Societies
His research will focus on the
relevance of R G Colling
wood’s artistic and historical
thought to literary history and
criticism.
He has also been awarded a
$2,500 University Faculty
Research Award this summer to
study Collingwood's theories
White has been named the
recipient of the 1982 President s
Award in the Robert D Clark
Honors College
White, who earned a
bachelor s degree in physics
and mathematics, received the
award in recognition of his
outstanding scholastic a
chievements and distin
guished senior thesis,
according to Alan Kimball,
Honors College director
