WORKSHOPS
“Sleep Terrain Rescue" is the topic of a workshop
Friday and Saturday at the Black Angus Restaurant,
2133 Franklin Blvd Sponsored by the University's
Continuing Education department, the workshop will
include an indoor session on Friday from 8:30 a m to 5:30
p m featuring steep terrain first aid and management
On Saturday, participants will be able to observe and
practice steep terrain climbing Activities wilt include
equipment use, rappel techniques, and lifting and
lowering methods At 8 a m Saturday, participants will
meet at the Black Angus parking lot, car pool about 20
mil**, then walk one-hall mil* to the practice sit*
Climbers should wear outdoor clothing and bring gloves,
rain gear and a hard hat Participants will return to their
cars at 3 p m Participants may eam one college credit
