The Duck women will open the double-elimination tour nament today when they clash with the University of San Fran cisco Dons in a 9 a.m. contest Sophomore Marcy Sowa, who pitched a strong game Sunday as the Ducks pounded Lewis & Clark 13-0 on the road, is scheduled to pitch the opener for the Ducks If Sowa, who is 1-0 on the season, and her mates can down the Dons, they will ad vance into the winners' bracket and play the host Universithy of California Golden Bears today at 3:30 p.m Duck coach Charles Sylvester said he will go with sophomore Stephanie Heisler on the mound if the Ducks meet the tour nament favorite Bears this af ternoon.
