Nugent, who came to the
Ducks out of Eugene's Marist High

By qualifying nine, the Ducks bettered last year's squad by two
The runners-up who will represent Oregon include
158-pound Rick O’Shea, 167-pound Keith Beutler, and 190-pound
Lance Hochanadel
O'Shea, a sophomore from Harrisburg, was unable to make
the jump from the No. 2 position in the Pac-10 he claimed last year,
but managed to post a 20-8-1 mark on the season. He now stands
at 40-20-1 as a Duck, with two more years of eligibility left

and Barry Boyles at 150.

tionals. although he dropped from
second to third in the Pac-10
Boyles, a senior from Merced,
Calif., will wind up his career after
posting a record of 18-2-2 on the
season. Boyles finished fourth in
the Pac-10 a year ago after an
injury-plagued season, and now
noids a career mark of 58-29-2 as a Duck.
According to Duck assistant coach Steve Hart, the squad is
looking to place in the top 10. Nugent is the Ducks' best hope to

the other Ducks as "outsiders.”
