women
Oregon stars Leann Warren and Bev Smith represent the elite of
their respective sports of track and basketball.
Warren, a member of the 1980 U.S, Olympic team, last year
won individual titles at the national collegiate track and field
championships in the 800 and 1500 meters. Smith, a senior playing
her final season for the women’s basketball team, last year was named
to the Kodak All-American team and is a candidate for the most
coveted women’s collegiate basketball award in America.
